A Visit To Burghead on the Moray Coast (2 of 2)
There’s an extensive beach that starts just next to the harbour area, with easy access.
Along the beach are old Second World War fortifications, primarily tank traps and pill boxes (bunkers), the majority of which lean at a range of angles due their sandy foundations.
Set back from the beach on part of the range of dunes are some hardy trees that stand up to the North Sea wind blowing across them.
And now some views of the beach, with the customary dog walkers and their charges.
