Finding Scotland’s #Real #Heroes – Tom Gilzean .@STVEdinburgh .@fredmacaulay www.henni.photo

Bumped into Mr Fred MacAulay and a film crew on the High Street this morning and I think I managed to avoid getting in shot. They were filming for RBS / STV’s Finding Scotland’s Real Heroes.

The subject? The fantastic 95 year old War Veteran Tom Gilzean, who can be seen daily out and about in the city raising money for The Sick Kids Foundation, here in Edinburgh. So far, he’s raised about £300, 000 and has been given the Edinburgh Award by the city.  He’s on Facebook and also has an online donations page, so why not add something to help him reach this year’s target of £60,000 either online or in person!

And, Fred’s got a Fringe show on too. Why not do both, donate and then go and see Fred? Don’t donate to Fred tho’, he doesn’t need the money, donate to Tom.
